Vertical Cable Entry, Bollard Kit

 0,00

• Minimises congestion in lateral duct runs
• Allows external optical fibre cables to be accurately positioned to feed FTF’s or Racks.
• Allows high fibre count distribution fibre cables to feed from the FTF or Rack, to the overhead Cable tray system, for distribution to other rack suites eg equipment racks, thereby minimizing overloading and congestion in distribution duct laterals.
• Can be positioned anywhere along a duct run.
• Tough, fire retardant material
• Securely held in position by a large spring clip
• Purchase by the unit

Description

This Bollard Kit is fitted to the centre of a 220mm or 300mm, overhead, centrally positioned, longitudinal duct run, that feed optical fibre cords along a rack suite and to racks/FTF’s below, using standard drop-off units. The Bollard allows overhead optical fibre cables to feed from the higher, overhead Cable tray system, through the optical fibre duct run, to individual FTF’s or racks below. For example,a Bollard can be fitted into the centre of a 220mm duct run to feed optical fibre cables down to an OFS’s Cable compartment (eg a TC4053T or TC4054T). A Bollard can also be retrofitted, in a central position, to any 220mm or 300mm duct run, to allow optical fibre cables to feed through the duct run to enter the lower racks for Cable termination. Using this Bollard it is intended to reduce and minimize congestion that occurs in distribution ducting laterals, where large numbers of single fibre cords are located, that frequently “overload” the distribution duct lateral. Also, as the Bollard can be fitted centrally anywhere in a 220mm or 300mm duct run it allows for large fibre count cables to be fed from the FTF rack suite, to feed adjacent transmission equipment rack suites, thereby assisting to minimize the overloading and congestion that sometimes occurs in a distribution duct lateral run. To fit a Bollard Kit to a 220mm or 300mm duct, the edge of the duct is accurately marked, along with the ducts centre line position. Next a supplied template is used to mark the position for the Bollard , on the ducts inner central bottom position, prior to the duct bottom being, drilled, cut and finished. Test fit the Bollard, and if all is satisfactory fit the Bollard in position and locate and push into position the underneath Bollard holding clip.
