Description
The cut out Tool Kit is a simple mechanical means of providing a 150mm wide opening in: 300, 220, 100 and 100 x 50mm ducts, to suit a 100mm break out. The opening provided is the correct width to install outlet trumpets or the 100 x100mm and 100x50mm type break ‐ outs in any of these ducts. Part No: TC1279‐218A is the 100 x100 mm break out and Part No: TC1279‐232A is the 100 x 50mm break out. Outlet trumpets (ie cord guides) are for the 220 x 100mm duct (Part No: TC1279‐289R); 220/300 x 100mm duct (Part No: TC1279‐330A) and 300 x 100mm duct (Part No: TC1279‐379). The Tool consists of a mechanical jaw that is placed over the duct side, which is then closed using the ratchet provided. This shears an opening cut of half depth in the side of the duct. A second cut is needed to achieve a full depth opening in the side of the duct. During the cutout operation, the housed optical fibre cords in the duct should be protected from damage using the portable optical fibre cord protector (Part No: TC1279‐50‐3); which is included in the Kit.
